Rennes Métropole

rennes metropole logo

The Rennes metropolitan area, known as Rennes Métropole, incorporates 43 municipalities including the city of Rennes, and is inhabited by nearly 400,000 people. As an organising authority for urban transport, Rennes Métropole defines the global strategy for travel within its borders through its Urban Travel Plan (PDU) and, in this context, it manages the public transport policy for its 43 municipalities. As a result, it defines the STAR network (bus and underground) and the Handistar service dedicated to disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility.
